Hi, my name is Kat!

Belgian-raised Crazy Cat Lady (what’s in a name) who decided to make San Diego her new home; with a great love for all animals, but above all an incredible passion for capturing what really counts.

Fellow pet-mom, just like you, currently sharing my home with 4 adorable cats (Bri, Leo, Dory and Bagheera).
I love traveling and exploring new countries, but can also thoroughly enjoy days at home with my cats.

Nothing makes me happier than being around pets, having a great time with friends and  bringing all of that together to create epic portraits with you and your pet!

And I promise I will adore your pets as much as you do.

Dory
Also known as Dodo or 'Muisje', which in Dutch means 'little mouse'. Loves to yell for food, hiss for no reason and basically runs the house. Other than that she is an absolute sweetheart.
Regal long-haired golden Persian cat with striking green eyes, sitting elegantly against a moody gray backdrop. Luxury pet portrait captured by high-end San Diego pet photographer Kat De Laet.
Leo
Full name Leopold, the biggest of the bunch and the sweetest little guy. Always gets his hair stuck in his mouth, loves to chase his sister Dory around the house and make air biscuits. Has grinch feet.
Elegant black cat with golden eyes, posed dramatically against a deep blue background. Luxury pet photography by Kat De Laet, San Diego’s premier fine art cat photographer.
Brigand
Everyone calls him Bri. Also known as 'The Bulldozer' because of his rough playtime habits. Biggest people-lover and lapcat you could image. Hold his tail like a pug.
Stunning gray tabby cat with intense green eyes, posed against a deep green artistic background. Fine art feline portrait by Kat De Laet, luxury pet photographer in San Diego.
Bagheera
Affectionally called Gary (by me). 13 years old and my partner's cat. Very sweet and loving when she accepts you as part of your tribe, total psycho otherwise. Cute looking but spicy.

My Inspiration

During my studies, photography faded into the background, but that passion was rekindled when I adopted Bri and Leo. In wanting to get better pictures for my own collection, my love for photography grew.
My original muse for my aristry, however, was Moerka, my irreplaceable fluffy childhood bestie who lived to be 24!

It’s about finding extra-ordinary

In an ordinary place"
